Peter Witt’s real estate career began in 1984, after a decade working in the design technology department with a major home builder in Calgary, Alberta. His extensive involvement with the National Home Builder's Association and his mechanical background allowed him to successfully achieve and go beyond his client's real estate expectations. In 1986 the Witt family moved back to Ontario and in 1987 settled in Fenelon Falls. By 1988 Peter was ready to resume his real estate profession. After several years of selling and managing real estate offices for other companies, Peter opened his own brokerage, Peter Witt Real Estate Ltd., in 1996. He successfully worked out of his home office until 2005, when with his wife Wendy, he purchased 20 May Street in Fenelon Falls and renamed the brokerage. Fenelon Falls Real Estate Ltd. held their grand opening in Nov 2005.

Peter Witt believes in giving back to the community that supports him, and therefore is an active volunteer within the Fenelon Falls community and in the City of Kawartha Lakes. He sat on the Board of Directors for 5 years and acted as a Company Advisor for Junior Achievement Kawartha Lakes. He was involved with the Optimist Club, the Lion's Club, and is presently on the Board of Directors for Hospice Kawartha Lakes, as well as Director of Fundraising for that organization. He is also part of a local classic rock band and often plays at local events and fundraisers.

Peter has also been involved with the Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association annually, sitting on various committees such as Arbitration, Community Realtors Events, Computer Systems, Discipline, and sat as Vice President, President and Past President from 2002 to 2004. Peter has successfully supported his family by helping people sell and purchase real estate for nearly 25 years. He knows that there is more to real estate than just a sign on a lawn or an ad in a paper. Buyers and sellers alike have reaped the benefits of his keen negotiating skills for over two decades.
